Workshop on Experiential Learning for Teachers
Mrs.Padma Prabhu, a teacher trainer from the Royal Society of chemistry conducted teacher training workshops for all the teachers as part of Royal Society of Chemistry ‘Yusuf hamid Inspirational Science Program’ on 6th and 13th October 2023 on the topics ‘Moving Towards Active Learning’ ‘Developing Active Learning Techniques in Science’ and ‘Taking active learning Techniques further in Science’ for all the teachers. Different teaching tools which can be used in active learning were introduced to the teachers and discussed. The workshop will enable teachers to impart education in an interesting way.
Teachers Training Workshop
A teachers training workshop on identifying inert talent in teachers and activity based learning was conducted on 11th October 2023 for the teachers handling Nursery to grade V by Mrs. Chitra Kumar.A faculty development program for the teachers handling nursery to class V was conducted by Mr. Manjunath Anand, an experienced life skill trainer from Bengaluru on 12th October 2023.
Dussehra Festival
Lighting up the festive spirit, pre primary students of RV public school celebrated Dussehra on 12th October 2023.
Dussehra is celebrated in diverse ways in different parts of our vast country, but the core value it signifies remains the same. The festival celebrates the victory of good over evil an important lesson for every child. Traditional dolls and wooden toys bought by children was displayed and the teachers explained how the festival is celebrated in different places of India, speciality about Mysore Dussehra and the procession. Students danced to the tune of Garba.
CISCE NATIONAL GAMES AND SPORTS 2023 – SWIMMING
Vihaan Shashwat Chaturvedi of class VII represented RV Public School and won the first position in Under 14 – freestyle 400 m, the second position in Individual medley 200 m, the first position in freestyle 200 m in CISCE National Games and Sports 2023 held in Karnataka from 23rd September to 25th September.
Idhant Shashwat Chaturvedi of class IX represented RV Public School and won second position in Under 17 boys backstroke and bagged the first position in backstroke 50 m in CISCE National Games and Sports 2023 held in Karnataka from 23rd September to 25th September.
HERITAGE FEST 2023
Saanvi Adithya of grade VI and Shreeram Adithya of grade I represented RV Public School and participated in the Heritage Fest 2023 organised by ISKCON SAMSKRITI and won second prize and first prize respectively in vocal music competition.
COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP (CATC)
20 NCC cadets from RV Public School attended the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) held at Air Force Station Jalahalli, Bangalore from 13th September to 22nd September 2023.
Students trained in self defense, parade, drill, aircraft simulator, parts of an aircraft, cyber crime, health care and weapon training. Cadets participated in competitions like drill competition, athletics, essay writing, debate, throwball, football, volleyball and tug-of-war. They also participated in cultural activities like dance and drama. Students learnt a very important lesson of teamwork – ONE FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE.
