National Mango Day 22 July 2021
National Mango Day is observed on 22 July every year to honour the ‘king of fruits’. The day is solely dedicated to the delicious fruit that people love to eat, or at times drink especially during the summer season. Among the many fruits, mango has been one of the most widely grown fruits in tropical countries mostly in India. Despite being the ‘king of fruits’, mango is one of the most popular super fruits around the world that has many health-promoting qualities attached to it.
The day was celebrated with enthusiasm by the students of class 8 of RV Public School as mango being the favourite fruit of many students. A power point presentation depicting the history of the fruit, its varieties and other details was shared with the students and Chetan and Shreya of Class 8A gave us an insight about the fruit and also presented interesting facts about the fruit like it being the national fruit of India, Pakistan, and the Philippines, while also being the national tree of Bangladesh.
