R. V Public School celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas online on
26th July 2021. On this date in 1999 India successfully took command of the high outpost. Every year in honour of Kargil war’s Heroes this day is celebrated as Kargil Vijay Diwas.
Kids gave tribute to our soldiers by portraying themselves as soldiers and showing the dedication and sacrifice of the soldiers for our nation. Students of classes 1 &2 of R V Public School took part in this celebration and showed that we are Indians and our soldiers are our strength and we all love them.
Class 7
Parents Day and Kargil Vijay Divas
26th July was an auspicious day in R.V. Public School. Class 7 teachers and students together conducted a short programme during the assembly session.
Students of class 7 spoke about how they celebrated ‘Parents’ Day on 25th July.
They sang songs in the praise of their parents and dedicated those songs to all the parents of R. V. Public School.
Kargil Vijay Divas was also celebrated. Students gave speeches. They spoke about the significance of Kargil Vijay Divas. They all maintained a silence of two minutes as a mark of respect to the soldiers who gave their lives during the Kargil war.
Class 8
Since 1999, July 26 is celebrated as the Kargil Vijay Diwas to commemorate the victory of Operation Vijay. The operation was launched by the Indian Army to recapture the Indian territories from Pakistani intruders in the Kargil-Drass sector in 1999. The anniversary is observed each year across the nation to show respect and gratitude to the brave servicemen of the armed forces who laid down their lives to re-capture all positions that had been seized by the Pakistan Army.
To honour the Kargil War Heroes, who laid down their life for the country, Saksham and Deeksha of class 8A and Deeksha K R of class 8B presented a PowerPoint presentation, Madhuri of class 8B spoke about dedication, sacrifice and the contribution of Captain Vikram Batra and the armed forces for peace and prosperity of our nation. Ayaan Khan, Charvi and Sonakshi showed their tribute through their wonderful darwings.
