June Month Activities

First Day of School

1st June 2022

RV Public School reopened after summer break on 1st June 2022 for the students of classes I to X. Students were welcomed by the Principal, Mrs. Lakshmi.N during the morning assembly. She advised the students to start on a positive note with zeal and enthusiasm and hoped that the students had a  relaxed vacation  and were recharged and ready to start a new school year. She wished all the students a very best for the new school year.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

The students of class IX and X celebrated World Environment Day with great zeal. The assembly started with the prayer song seeking the blessing of Lord Ganesha.

 The students sang ‘Mother Earth’ song very melodiously, with Pravruti on the guitar and Lohendra played the keyboard. Students  also put up skit showing the importance of caring for nature. Nishchal and Aditya Shenoy conducted a quiz on World Environment Day. All the students were given saplings to emphasise the importance of environment in all our lives.

ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION

6TH JUNE 2022- LALBAGH VISIT

Every year on 5th June, World Environment day is observed across the world to raise awareness about degrading environmental conditions and to encourage people to take positive environmental actions and help create a better future.

As a part of this celebration, the students of classes 8, 9 and 10 were taken to LalBagh on 6th June 2022 to know more about the flora. The Biology teachers, Mrs. Nusrath and Mrs. Sowmya explained to the children about the different types of plants/trees in Lal Bagh, its origin, scientific names, nature of the leaves and flowers. The students keenly listened to their teacher and asked questions and clarified their doubts. The trip was a grand success as it created an awareness in the students,a keen interest to know more about the flora and fauna surrounding them and to nurture them and protect them.

Talent Show

Classes 3&4

11th June 2022

“Everyone has a unique talent or skill at which they truly excel. Today is the day to embrace those ability and show them off.”


The Talent Day was an eventful occasion. The talent day was designed to allow all students to exhibit their special interest in dancing, singing, acting or some other area. The participants came up with perfectly rehearsed  performances. There were different forms of dances in different languages, mimicry, recitation of shlokas from Bhagvad GIta and other scriptures bringing out different themes. It was a chance for the students to shine and students made use of this opportunity given to them.

BEST OUT OF WASTE

CLASSES 5&6

11th June 2022

Creative little hands and innovative minds of classes 5& 6 came together in an artistic and productive burst of energy during the “Best Out of Waste” competition held on Saturday, 11th June 2022. The competition committed on bringing an insight among the young ones about preserving the environment by reusing and recycling waste material.

Students ensured active participation and fantabulous ideas were demonstrated using materials like newspaper, used plastic bottles, ropes, ice cream sticks, bangles, shoe boxes and many more. We were glad to see the enthusiasm of the students who took out their valuable time and made the competition lively by displaying the magic of their creativity.

Cooking Without Fire  

   

Club Activity- June 11th 2022 (VII and VIII)

Young Master Chefs of R.V. Public School went all out to serve a big spread of dishes at the ‘Cooking Without Fire’ competition.  The competition was held on 11th of June with a view to create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without flame, the necessity and advantages of healthy eating and to encourage students to stay away from junk food. Through this activity, the students learnt the spirit of team work and culinary skills. The aim of the activity was also to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and explore new areas of interest.

The students prepared healthy dishes like sprouts chat, fruit salad, vegetable sandwich, dry fruit  desert, lassi, buttermilk, nimbupani and many more using easy and quick recipes. They served the dishes in an artistic and aesthetic way which was most appealing and the display were a visual treat tackling the taste buds. The judges for the day were our respected Principal ma’am Mrs Lakshmi N, MrsAakifaBanu and Miss Kalpa.

FACE PAINITNG

CLASSES 9&10

11th June 2022

Club activities are integral to the life of a student. They are indispensable tools for  the proper formation and all round development of the students. These activities help them discover and develop their innate but dormant talents and at the same time excel as team players.

The club activity for the month of June for classes 9&10 was Face painting and the theme given to the students was “Save Soil”. The theme was given to underscore the need to live in harmony with nature. The inter-house competition was conducted on 11th June 2022. Students, through their paintings depicted the consequences of polluting the soil and the importance of saving the soil.

Class 1 & 2

GREEN DAY Pre-Primary

      13th June 2022

The preprimary wing of RV Public school celebrated Green Day on 13thJune 2022. Green colour was introduced to the students. All teachers and children wore green colour dress. Students were informed to bring any green colour object and green colour snacks in the snack box. Children were taken to school garden.They were excited to see beautiful flowers and enjoyed the cool breeze and shade . In the UKG class, the teacher explained to the students about the importance of growing plants. Children, enthusiastically shared with their friends about  the garden they have at home . Students were given saplings to encourage them to grow plants. The UKG children made a tree puppet with the guidance of the teacher. Children coloured the outline of a tree. The LKG children did finger print on a leaf cut-out as classroom activity. Pre nursery children did collage activity on a tree cut-out with the help of the teacher. It was a fun-filled learning day for the students.

FATHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

21st June 2022

Father’s Day was celebrated  by the Pre-primary children on 21st June 2022. Father’s day is a celebration honouring fathers and celebration of fatherhood, paternal bonds and influence of fathers.  Children made greeting cards which looked like a shirt and inside the shirt, they wrote wishes to their father and took it as a take-home gift. Children also shared with their friends how they celebrated father’s day at home.

The teacher also explained about the importance of family and how fathers play an important role in the family.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

21st JUNE 2022

International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st June  every year to spread awareness about the invaluable benefits of Yoga. It helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength and body tone. It improves respiration and energy . This year’s theme was “Yoga for Humanity”.

The students on classes 7 to 10 under the guidance of their yoga teacher Mrs. Vijaya, performed surya namaskar, pranayama  and different asanas like vajrasana, trikonasana, Vkrshasana etc. Students were also briefed about the importance of Yoga for overall health and wellness.

SCOUTMASTER AND GUIDE CAPTAIN

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka awarded the certificates of Scoutmaster and Guidecaptain to Ms. Chandrabati Pahari and Ms. Chitrakshi S respectively for their successful completion of the basic training courseheld at Dr. Annie Besant Scouts and Guides training Centre, Doddaballapura.

GLOBAL WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT CERTIFICATE

Prisha P B of grade 8 and Srisha P B of grade 1 were awarded certificates for their achievement in Global world Record Attempt in Karate event from Indian Shotokan karate –Do held in Bangalore on 5th June 2022.

We wish many more such laurels for Prisha and Srisha.
