Children’s Day

Class 1

The Children’s Day

Class I ‘B’ 2020-2021

The children’s day was celebrated on 13th November along with Diwali celebrations. There were various events planned for the students which included a dance performance by the teachers, singing of shlokas etc. Post the celebrations of the children’s day there was a Diya decoration competition held for the students which students took part in enthusiastically. It was a fun filled day for the students as well as the teachers. We thank all the parents for their understanding and co-operation and also for the sincere efforts taken to make this celebration a great success.

Class 2 A

Virtual children’s day celebration was held on 13-11-2020. Teacher spoke about significane of children day. Children were encouraged to showcase their talents like singing dancing , storytelling, etc. They also made colourful greeting card by following the instruction given by the teacher. They  participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the activity.

class 3 C

On the beautiful occasion of Children’s Day an activity was conducted to class 3 students.

The activity was making water candles creatively.

Children participated enthusiastically and made colourful candles.

Each one had made using different things which is appreciable.

Class 4

Using tangrams (geometrical shapes), children made a creative picture.

Students polished their acting skill imitating their teachers, this shows how the students have perceived their teachers during lock down period.

Class 5

Diwali (also: Deepawali) is one of India’s biggest festivals. The word ‘Deepawali’ means rows of lighted lamps. It is a festival of lights and Hindus celebrate it with joy. During this festival, people light up their houses and shops with Diyas (small cup-shaped oil lamp made of baked clay). They worship the Lord Ganesha for welfare and prosperity and Goddess Lakshmi for wealth and wisdom. Children of class 5B has decorated Diyas. Children have expressed their joy of celebration through dance performance.

Class 6

Teachers of class VI organized a virtual ‘Children’s Day’  programme for their students. It was conducted online in the zoom meeting on 13-11-2020. The programme started at 10.30 a.m.

The students were welcomed by Mrs. Pushpa, Mr. Kiran and Mrs. Reshma. The students enthusiastically participated in the activities conducted by their teachers.

Two activities were conducted.

The first one was a game which was called ‘Identify Your Teacher.’ The students had to identify their teachers by listening to the sentences framed on them. The students carefully listened to the sentences and identified their teachers. It was really nice to see them in a jolly mood. The second activity was a quiz on ‘Children’s Day.’ Questions based on ‘Children’s Day’ were asked to the students to which they answered joyfully.

The students were given opportunities to showcase their talents.

Class 7

Class 7 ’B’ students celebrated children’s day virtually on 13th November, 2020.

Children participated in five different activities –

  • Memory game (15 items were shown for 1 min and 1 min time was given for the children to make a list of items shown to them.
  • Princess of Persia wants ________ (Princess named some items and children should get it)
  • Letter scavenger hunt (Children should bring the maximum number of items starting from the letter mentioned)
  • Name 5 ingredients to the dish _______ (child should tell 5 ingredients needed to prepare the dish named)
  • Children should guess the childhood photo of their classmate shown on the screen.

All the children joyfully participated in the activities.  It was really nice to see their happy faces. The program was concluded with Diwali wishes.

It was certainly a happy children’s day for all the students.
