Prisha P B – Karate Champion
Prisha PB of class X participated in the 2nd South India Open karate championship 2024 on 11th August 2024, conducted by Chi-Ku Karate Do federation of India, an academy of martial arts and won the 2nd place in the under 65Kg category.
KISA Inter-school Robotics Competition
Our students Shashank B of class X and Apraameya of class IX participated in ‘Future Bots Fiesta’ 2024’, the KISA Inter-school Robotics Competition organised by The Regency Public School on 28th August 2024 in the juniors category on the topic and Bluetooth Controlled Arduino – All Terrain Car Challenge and won the bronze medal. The event was designed to engage students in the fascinating world of Robotics fostering, creativity and technical skill and problem solving ability.
Laurels in Sadhane- inter-school competition
Our students participated in Sadhane – an Inter-school Competition conducted by Sri Krishna International School on 2nd August 2024 and have won laurels for the school.
Ananya Amit of class VIII participated in the English Debate competition and secured the first place.
Pravardhini of class IX participated in the pot painting competition and won the third prize.
Independence Day -2024-25
The 78th Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2024 with great enthusiasm in the school premises by all the staff and students of the school. Dr. Vijayalakshmi I Balekundri, Professor Emeritus, Former HOD of Pediatric Cardiology Shri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bengaluru was the chief guest who hoisted our national flag and motivated our students with her speech. The students had put up colourful programs to show their love for their country, which included, march past by the NCC cadets and students from the scouts and guides squadron, dance, patriotic song and drill display by the students.
The school magazine SMRITHI 2023-24 was also released by the chief guest, which is a reflection of the culture of the school and is the mirror to the cream of the activities conducted in school, creativity of the imagination of the staff and students and the expression of the staff and students in the session 2023-24. Trustees and office bearers of the RSST Trust, HOIs, staff and students of various RV institutions participated in the celebration.
Independence Day Celebration – Pre-primary Wing
Freedom in the mind, strength in the words. Pride in our hearts, zeal in our hearts’.
With lots of gratitude and respect to our great freedom fighters and celebrating their gift of freedom of our country given to us with their struggles, the nursery wing of the school celebrated the Independence Day Children were dressed up in the colours of the flag and in assembly children danced to the tunes of patriotic songs. Students were told about the freedom fighters who fought for Independence Day, National symbols and so on. Nursery children came dressed as Rani Laxmibai, Kittor Rani Chennamma and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Infosys Springboard Seminar – 2024
Tech firm Infosys launched Infosys Springboard to accelerate its digital reskilling initiatives and expand it to over 10 million students and professionals by 2025.
Initiated under the company’s CSR, Infosys Springboard offered a virtual platform to deliver corporate-grade learning experiences for learners, ranging from school and college students to professionals and adults. Such training alongside formal education would help further accelerate digital reskilling initiatives in the country.
Selected students of classes VIII and IX attended Infosys Springboard 2024 seminar on 23rd August about the recent growing technology and how students have to adapt to this coming lifestyle which includes improving their skill set. The students got to experience the innovation of the lab on wheels, the working of the thief alarm and also got to see the 3d printing machine. It was an opportunity for the students know about the tech innovations in India and about the rapidly growing field of Artificial Intelligence.
Krishna Janmashtami Celebration
On the festive occasion of Janmashtami, Our little children were dressed up as Krishna and Radha. The day started with assembly where the significance of the festival was told to the children by the teachers. Children celebrated the day with various activities.
Top Writer in Mega Penstar Writing event 2024
Samarth U Nandagudi of class VII was awarded the Top Writer award in India Mega Penstar Writing Event 2024 conducted by Cosmic Inception MSME & ISO 9001 – 2015 certified Epic Sphere Publication appreciating his efforts and handwork in the field of writing.
VISIT TO A POST OFFICE
During the recent field trip to Basavanagudi post office on August 12th 2024, students of grade III had the opportunity to explore how mail is sorted and delivered. The visit began with a guided tour where they learned about the different types of mail services, from standard letters to express packages. The staff explained their roles in ensuring that each piece of mail reaches its destination accurately and on time. Overall, the trip provided valuable insights into the importance of postal services in connecting people and business. It was an experiential learning in accordance with the syllabus as the students were made to draft a letter addressing to their parents and posted the cards.
RV KALASIRI – 31st August 2024
RV KALASIRI – a yearly inter-school competition was hosted by RV Public School on 31st August 2024 in the school premises. The event was planned for the students of classes V to X to enable the students celebrate scholastic excellence and competence through spirited, fair competition and to help them conquer stage fright and embrace confidence to face challenges. A total of 18 schools participated in the various events conducted As the students of the host school, the students of RV public school participated just for the spirit of participation not for position. Special prizes were given to the students of RV Public School for their outstanding performance in the following events – Extempore, Completing the Crossword and Digital Postermaking
