Dasara Celebration
Students of the Pre-primary wing of the school brought dolls and arranged it in a golu in front of a beautiful temple background.
Children dressed in traditional attire, learnt the importance of the festival. Children decorated a picture of kids performing dandiya, an Ambari and a picture of Durga Devi using kundans, glitter sheets and decorative items. Children danced to the tunes of dandiya music and enjoyed the festival.
KISA AGM – 18th October 2024 at RV Public School
The Annual General Body Meeting of The Karnataka ICSE Schools Association was held on 18th October 2024 at RV Public School The meeting was presided by Ms. Jean George, the President of KISA, and attended by Ms.Jayashree Ramesh, the Vice-President,Dr. Ms. B Gayethri Devi, Secretary, Fr. Nilson Davis CML, Treasurer, executive members and around 250 Principals of ICSE schools from all over Karnataka.
The event commenced with a prayer song and invocation dances by the host school. The Principal of RV Public School, Mrs.Lakshmi Sridhar bestowed a warm welcome to all Executive Committee Members and the invitees. The inaugural address was delivered by Ms. Kritii Tikku, Coordinator of CISCE SAMVAD Project.
Ms.Archana and Ms. Ishita from Bhoomi addressed the gathering on ‘Teach for Nature Fellowship.’
Ms. Jean George, The President of KISA welcomed the Principals to the association time and emphasised on the importnce of the role of a Principal in a school.
Dr. Gayethri Devi, Secretary KISA, briefed all the members regarding matters pertaining to CISCE, KISA Competitions and ASISC National events.
The executive committee members discussed all the concerns and endeavours of the Association.
Ms.Jayashree Ramesh, the Vice-President, KISA proposed the vote of thanks and in her words of gratitute thanked the members who were present and conveyed a grandiloquent praise and appreciation to the host school for the excellent arrangemnents and hospitatlity. The meeting concluded with the National Anthem.
MAKING WAVES AND BREAKING RECORDS
Vihaan Chaturvedi of class VIII participated in the 1st Short Course South Zone Swimming Championship 2024 held under the auspice of South Zone Aquatic Council organised by Karnataka Swimming Association, affiliated to swimming Federation of India, Karnataka Olympic Association & Sports Authority of Karnataka won the second place in 200m Freestyle, first place in 400m Freestyle, first place in 200m Backstroke in Group II Boys held at PET Aquatic Centre, Mandya. Karnataka from 30th August to 1st September 2024.
Idhant Shashwat Chaturvedi of class X participated in CISCE National Games & Sports 2024 held at Centre for Sports Excellence, Bangalore from 26th August 2024 to 28th August 2024 in the Under 17 category and secured the first position in 4X100M Med. Relay, second position in 50M Back stroke, first position in 100, Freestyle and first position in 100M Backstroke.
Bharatiya Kala Pratiyogita – Samartha Nandagudi
Samartha Nandagudi of class VII participated in ‘Bharatiya Kala Pratiyogita’ – the online line art competition of Bharat organised by Bharatiya Kala Pratiyogita on 13th October 2024 and was awarded a certificate of appreciation for showing his appreciable art skills.
Honourable Delegate – Syed Adeeb
Syeed Adeeb of class X participated in the CGMUN – Cotton Girls Model United Nations 2024 hosted by Bishop Cotton Girls’ School as a member of the ECOSOC committee and was recognised as an Honourable Delegate.
