Rakshabandhan and friendship day celebrations

The preprimary wing of RV public school, celebrated Rakshabandan with full zeal and endeavor that one associates with this auspicious festival. The main objective behind celebrating Rakshabandan was making children aware about the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. Friendship day is celebrated the presence of friends in our life. Hence these two special bond were celebrated together on 11th August 2023 Friday. The flannel board was decorated with colourful rakhis and pictures celebrating friendship day. 

The day started with assembly, teacher explained the festival of rakshabandan and friendship day. Students of UKG celebrated to make this memorable event by making a puzzle by drawing and colouring with crayons. Students of LKG participated in a flower decorating  group activity.

 Visit to Lalbagh

 Students from classes nursery to class X were taken to witness the flower show at the Lalbagh Botanical Garden. It was a day with enjoyment and hearts filled with patriotism. Children enjoyed and also learnt about various flowers. Children were happy to see the place filled with beautiful trees, lush green lawns. Children enjoyed the trip and learnt the importance of nature and its beauty.

Wall Painting- class IX and X – 12th August 2023

Patriotism can come out in multiple shades and colours. Every nation has a flag with distinct colours and multiple symbols that denote the national history and struggle. These colours can have a powerful impact in a space to evoke a sense of national identity and belonging. The students of classes IX and X painted patriotic motives on walls as a part of Independence day club activity. The wall painting activity was inspired the love for their motherland.

Independence Day Celebration by the students of the Pre-primary wing

With lots of gratitude and respect to our great freedom fighters and celebrating their gift of freedom. On 16th August 2023, Wednesday children were dressed up in the colours of the flag and were told about freedom fighters, national symbols and importance of Independence day. Tricolour butterfly badge activity was done in the students of Lower Kindergarten and students of nursery wore the badges with pride. In continuation with the Independence Day celebration, a fancy dress competition was conducted for the students of the Pre-primary wing on the theme ‘Unsung Heroes’. Students enjoyed making a kite collage badge as their take home activity.

Independence Day -2023-24

The 77th Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2023 with great enthusiasm in the school premises by all the staff and students of the school. Dr.Sridhar, a renowned dancer and actor was the chief guest who unfurled our national flag and motivated our students with his speech. The students had put up colourful programs to show their love for their country, which included, march past by the NCC cadets and students from the scouts and guides squadron, dance, patriotic song and drill display by the students. 

The school magazine SMRITHI 2022-23 was also released by the chief guest, which is a reflection of the culture of the school and is the mirror to the cream of the activities conducted in school, creativity of the imagination of the staff and students and the expression of the staff and students in the session 2022-23. Trustees and office bearers of the RSST Trust, HOIs, staff and students of various RV institutions participated in the celebration.  

Wild Life Conservation Workshop -16th August 2023

On 16th August 2023, Shri. Chandrashekar S, DCF, Retd , Shri R V Bhaskar, President Jaycee, Shri Dada Fir and Shri Siddaligaiyah  from Senior Chamber International Bangalore Legion conducted a wildlife conservation workshop for the students of classes VI,VII and VIII. They enlightened the students more about environment and wildlife conservation. They answered to the queries of the students related to wild animals, its habitat and food habits.

Times NIE Newsmakers Meet

Students of #RVPS took part in Times NIE Newsmakers Meet on August 17th, 2023, at Rashtriya Military School, Off Richmond Road. This event offered a unique opportunity for student reporters. They got an opportunity to discuss civic issues, interact with The Times of India’s editorial team, and engage in a mock press conference about mindful eating and active living.

Inter-house Cultural Competitions for classes III, V to X

From continuum to the encouragement of expression, the school provides various platforms to the students to hone their skills, foster passion and confidence. The school focuses on the holistic development of the students and endeavours to involve students in different aspects of life outside the classroom so that they grow up as well-rounded personalities. 

Keeping up with this vision, inter-house cultural competitions were conducted for the students of classes V to X on 22nd August 2023. Competitions like story telling for the students of class III Cooking without fire for the students of  class V, Bottle painting for the students of class VI, Paper Mask Making – 3D for the students of class VII, Fashion show on the theme  ‘Best out of Waste’ for  the students of class VIII, Face painting on  bird or tribal theme for the boys of classes IX and X  and makeup and hair styling for the girls of classes IX and X. Competition teaches us big lessons; it drives us to be the best we can be. The contest enriched one and all. The pupils found the competition fun-filled and educative.

CISCE SPORTS AND GAMES 2023

Chinmai C Anand of class X participated in the regional level of CISCE Sports and Games 2023 conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination at Vijayashree Public School on 9th  & 10th  August 2023 and  secured the Gold medal in under 17 (48 – 51 Kg) Taekwondo. Vihaan Shashwat Chaturvedi of class VII participated in the regional level of CISCE Sports and Games 2023 conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination at Sudarshan Vidya Mandir ICSE School from 3rd  to 5th  August 2023 and  secured the first position in under 14 200m medley swimming, first position in under 14 400m free style swimming, first position in  under 14 400m free style swimming.

CISCE GAMES & SPORTS 2023

Prasnanjeya Atibuthi of class IX has made all of us proud again. She has participated in CISCE Games & Sports 2023 at the regional level held at Gopalan International School from 20th July 2023 to 21st July 2023 and has won laurels for herself and accolades for the school. She bagged 

1. The first position in Under 17, ‘WAG’ in floor exercise

2. The first position in Under 17 ‘WAG’ in Balance Beam

3. The first position in Under 17 ‘WAG’ in Uneven Bars

4. The first position in Under 17, ‘WAG’ in vault

She had also secured the All-Round Individual Trophy for herself and the trophy for the school. She will be representing Karnataka at the national level in CISCE Games & Sports 2023.

Astra – Inter-school competition 2023-2024

Our students participated in Astra – Inter-school competition 2023-2024, conducted by the Achieve School of Education and brought back bag full of medals and pride and laurel for the school. Yogeshwari  S of class X won the second position in essay writing completion. Saksham P Jain  and Pavan P of class X bagged the first position in the quiz competition. Priyansh of class VII won the bronze medal in 4 X 4 Rubics cube competition. Aryan Surya and Ananya M L of class VII won the first place in memory test competition. We are proud of your achievements.
